Your park history is not our business.

POTAble is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, or developer-operated storage. The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or have access to your location history, worked-parks history, notes, or preferences.
Information used by POTAble
Location
With your permission, POTAble uses your device’s current location to calculate nearby parks, distance, GPS accuracy, coordinates, and Maidenhead grid square. You may deny permission and set a location manually. POTAble does not send your location to the developer.
Worked parks, dates, and notes
Your worked status, worked dates, park notes, selected datasets, planning location, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Notes are limited by the app and are not transmitted to the developer.
iCloud backup and sync
If iCloud sync is enabled, POTAble uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to back up and synchronize supported app data through your personal iCloud account. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. The POTAble developer cannot browse or retrieve the contents of your iCloud backup.
Network services and other apps
POTAble may contact the public Parks on the Air service to download park datasets. Maps are provided by Apple MapKit. If you choose directions or an official park website, POTAble opens the selected mapping app or your browser. Those services may receive information needed to fulfill your request and are governed by their own privacy policies. POTAble does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You control POTAble’s stored data. In the app, open Settings → Danger Zone → Erase Stored Data. You can erase data from This Device, iCloud, or Both. Deleting the app removes its local data; use the in-app iCloud deletion option if you also want its synced data removed. You may revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Children’s privacy
POTAble is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
